Letters and Laceweight

Saturday I finally got a letter saying that I'm officially and once again a student. I have been wanting to go to library school four about three years now, and the stars finally aligned. So after a few excited phone calls to family, Brent and I went out to dinner at Outback. Apparently it was prom night, so it made for some good people watching with dressed up teens trying to look/act cool.

But before all of this, I treated myself to a little bit of yarn shopping. Colorful Yarns was having their anniversary sale, and I just couldn't resist the siren song of laceweight at 20% off. And I now have a lovely ball of Lorna's Laces Helen Lace in Gold Hill.

I'm making Evelyn Clark's lace leaf shawl and dubbing it my "I got into grad school shawl". But now I'm debating if I should go find something else to treat myself to to celebrate because I technically bought this yarn before the mail was delivered and I had a reason to celebrate...
